      <description>It doesn't happen to often on personal loans. But it can if they take it to court and specifically ask for and are awarded that. Then the court or the plaintiff will send the paperwork to the Treasury Department for the offset against any tax refund you may be qualified for. But again, that's rare on a personal loan. I've "heard" of that happening. But have never actually known anyone involved in such a scenario.</description>
