To remove the earned income credit from your return, please follow these steps:

Click on Federal > Deductions & Credits
In the You and Your Family section, click on the Start/Revisit box next to Earned Income Credit (EIC). [See Screenshot #1 below.)
On the screen, Do any of these uncommon situations apply, mark the box next to I got an IRS notice saying that we can’t claim the Earned Income Credit in 2017. [Screenshot #2]
