Does turbo tax deluxe include schedule D and E?

i received different answers regarding whether schedule D and E being included in the deluxe version.

The desktop version includes all the forms with the various packages (which it appears you are using).

The higher versions will ask you more detailed questions on completing the Sch D and Sch E, which if you need then the TurboTax Premier is what you want.

Remember you can always start in a lower version and upgrade (but cannot downgrade) and all information is transferred to the upgrade product.

That pdf is old one as 1040A and 1040EZ do not exist for 2018 tax year, answer is still the same however.

For the 2019, will the Deluxe version fill in the Schedule D "boxes" and carry the numbers to the 1040 form? Assuming I have the 1099DIV/1099R/ mailings from the institutions. Cost basis is reported for I probably do not need any "extra help" from the Premier.

All the TurboTax desktop editions include the same forms, schedules and worksheets. So, yes the Deluxe desktop edition supports entry of investment sales on a Schedule D and a Form 8949. With the result automatically entered on your personal tax return, Form 1040. The Deluxe edition also supports entry of 1099's, to include 1099-DIV and 1099-R.

The Deluxe online edition includes Schedule 1, 3 and B. It does not include Schedule D. You would need to upgrade to the Premier online edition for Schedule D.

You can find which forms are in the various products by clicking on this link. The Deluxe for TY 2019 does NOT include Schedule D. You would need to upgrade to Premier.

Schedule D (even a simple one) is not included in the on line version of Deluxe but is included in the CD version. How does this make sense? $90 to obtain one form seems a bit onerous.

Forms availability is the same for all versions of the desktop software. It is the interview and data entry screens that are available that differs among the various versions.
