If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

Do you need to transfer from 2017 on your computer to the Online version? You can Transfer the prior year from the Desktop program into the current Online versions. But if you already started an online return you will have to clear it out and start over or set up a new online account.

How to transfer into the Online version, expand the 3rd blue link if you used the CD/download last year........
