What exactly are you trying to download?
The 2017 TurboTax software that you purchased?
Or the 2017 tax return you prepared using the 2017 online editions?  If the online editions, did you use and pay for one of the 2017 online editions of either Plus, Deluxe, Premier or Self-Employed?  Or did you use the Free online edition?

If your order shows as a CD and download then sign onto your download account using the exact same User ID that was used to purchase the software - https://shopping.turbotax.intuit.com/unified/downloads?route=myaccounts

If the software is not in your download account and/or you have not received the CD then you will need to contact TurboTax support for assistance.

Since you said "subscription," are you an Advantage member with an annual subscription to the desktop software (CD/download?) And do you need to re-download your 2017 product? You can download purchased software at this page:

I purchased and used the 2017 Delux Desktop edition of turbo tax. I finished 4 returns and started my individual return but was not able to finish the return. I can not locate to disk as I moved that year and I would like to be able to file that year now, without having to purchase the product again.

How would I go about achieving this?

@ebooklet 2017 software is no longer available nor would it be supported even if you can find it on eBay, etc. You cannot get updates for 2017 software. What are you trying to do? It is too late to file a 2017 return for an income tax refund---the refund has been forfeited. If you need to file 2017 because you owe tax due, then you can use local paid tax help or use the paper forms and mail in the return. You will need to pay the amount of tax due as shown on the form, but later you will receive a bill from the IRS for the late filing penalty and interest owed.
