The 2018 TurboTax program is not yet fully operational. If you can't access a certain section and are using the online product, then that section is apparently not yet operational. If you are trying to enter itemized deductions, for example, the Schedule A form where they are entered is not estimated to be available until 1/17/19. With the 2018 tax law changes enacted by congress, many forms and instructions changed substantially. The IRS has not yet completed the updates for these forms and instructions. TurboTax can't implement all the changes until the IRS completes the updates and approves the changes needed in the TurboTax and other software company's programs
