&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Both spouses under 65,&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;at least&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;$20,600&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Both spouses 65 or over,&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;at least&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;$23,000&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;One spouse under 65,&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;at least&amp;nbsp;&lt;STRONG&gt;$21,800&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you are &lt;B&gt;Married Filing Separately, &lt;/B&gt;you &lt;B&gt;must file&lt;/B&gt; a Federal Tax Return if you had &lt;B&gt;$3,950 or more&lt;/B&gt; in income.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;B&gt;Please note:&lt;/B&gt; Generally, the advantages of filing Jointly far outweigh what you will receive if you file Separately. &amp;nbsp;This is true even if one spouse made very little.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For more information on filing requirements:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;
