loss. If he passed in 2017 you can still file married filing jointly. You are considered married the entire year
that a spouse passes away unless you remarry. You&amp;nbsp; also may be eligible to use Qualifying Widow(er) with dependent child as
your filing status for 2 years following the year your spouse died as long as
you have not remarried. This treats your return as a joint return and you can
get a higher standard deduction. &lt;/P&gt;</description>
