      <description>&lt;P&gt;No, you could not.&amp;nbsp; Given the circumstances, your child would be claimed as a Qualifying Relative dependent type and not a Qualifying Child.&amp;nbsp; Such a dependent needs to live with you all year,with only specific exceptions, but the person claiming them has to also provide more than 1/2 the dependent's support for the year.&amp;nbsp; Since he lived with you, you provided his housing, utilities, etc., so the other parent cannot claim him.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
