I am waiting on corrected W2's from disability insurance and social security. This process could take a while.

I think I may owe a modest amount, but not sure how to file or how much to send, given that the corrected W2's may change that amount.

How do I estimate that amount? Enter in the information I think will be on the corrected W2's into TurboTax? And send that amount?

Yes, in your scenario, that's probably the best way to go about estimating any tax you might owe -- prepare your return in TurboTax using all of the "good information" you have, then make your best estimation as to what the missing information will be.

For more information on applying for an extension, please see the TurboTax FAQ "How do I file an IRS extension (Form 4868) in TurboTax Online?" below.
