    <description>&lt;P&gt;Back on Feb 25th I completed my 2018 Cdn taxes but did not netfile as I am waiting for one final T4 slip.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I saved the return and all was good.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Yesterday I referenced the file to check some numbers and closed the program out.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I never changed anything and the file shows last update Feb 25th.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This morning I wanted to add the data for my final T4 slip and when I went to open the file I am getting a TT403 error.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I referenced the error here and found &lt;A href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/4643233-tt403-error-my-2018-file-was-okay-a-few-days-ago-when-i-accessed-it-but-now-i-get-error-code-tt403-con-you-help-me" target="_blank"&gt;https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/4643233-tt403-error-my-2018-file-was-okay-a-few-days-ago-when-i-ac...&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;so&amp;nbsp;restored from my backup and the same error is experienced.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;There is no versioning (from an incremental backup) because there was only ever one version.&amp;nbsp; The ttbk file is not found.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It looks like I am pooched and will have to redo all my&amp;nbsp;work ... urgggh!&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I've been using TurboTax for years and never had this happened before.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;My PC is fine.&amp;nbsp; No other files are corrupt.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I see that others are posting about a similar error.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Is it possible a recent update has corrupted earlier created files?&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; When I did open the file yesterday I did update the program but never saved the file after opening, just exited out.&amp;nbsp; I didn't change anything so thought it was fine but now wondering if the update has screwed me.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am posting this just sharing my experience to advise others if you open to always save the file.&amp;nbsp; Don't just exit out the program&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for sharing your information on what you experienced.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I also save a backup copy after every session to a thumb drive as well--just in case.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;B&gt;You have posted your thread in the &lt;U&gt;USA &lt;/U&gt;TurboTax community forum.&lt;/B&gt;&amp;nbsp; 
(yes, the sites are too similar, and we have complained to TurboTax 
about it.)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Here is the Canada TurboTax AnswerXchange community forum:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;

      <description>It might still help someone who searches for that error.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;We have complained for some time that the 2 sites are too similar.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;All they have to do is add a country's&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;flag or maple leaf or something, which would help.</description>
