      <description>&lt;P&gt;In order to import a W-2, your employer or payroll department must be a participating import partner with TurboTax, AND the employer must have the W-2s ready for importing.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Employers have until the end of January to provide a W-2, so some companies may not have them ready yet for importing.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If your W-2 can be imported, when you enter the EIN, TurboTax will tell you so.&amp;nbsp; It may ask you for some information off of your actual W-2 such as the amount of wages, or if your employer requires any control number to access the W-2 for import.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;See this FAQ:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;
