Depends. If you use the Online web version then the state is extra 36.99.

If you buy the Desktop CD/Download Software program then you get 1 free state program download to prepare unlimited state returns. Then each state return (including the first one) is currently 19.99 to efile (goes up to 24.99 later) or you can print and mail the state for free.

In what universe would anyone opt for the online version to save $10.00 but have to pay an extra $36.99 to prepare the State tax return the product says is included? This is a ripoff.

This is a new forum layout. Some posts that have June 2019 dates are really older posts from the old forum that got moved over. So they might be for prior years and not current info. When they migrated over the dates got changed to June 2019. And the screen shots got deleted.
