TurboTax does not file your tax return for you. Once you have completed all of the steps in preparing your tax return, if you choose to e-file your tax return, you would follow the directions in the following FAQ. https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3301375

If you do not see the option to e-file your return or you are unable to select the option to e-file, or you would like to print and mail your tax return, you can follow the instructions below.

You can check your e-file status once you e-file your return, by following the instructions below.

To track your Federal refund, visit the Where’s My Federal Refund? site here: https://www.irs.gov/refunds

You can begin checking at least 24 hours after e-filing or 4 weeks after mailing. Updates are made daily, usually overnight. You may also download the IRS2Go app to check your Federal refund status.

Note: You will need your social security number, filing status, and refund amount in order to track your Federal refund.
