If your 1095-A form covers both you and your spouse but TurboTax Online only asks if it is for you or your spouse separately, select Yes for the person who is the primary insured listed on the form. TurboTax calculates the Premium Tax Credit based on the combined information. The option to select "Both of Us" was available in prior versions but is no longer shown; the system now handles household coverage through the single form entry.

To enter your 1095-A form in TurboTax Online, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Federal section in TurboTax.
2. Select Deductions & Credits.
3. Scroll down and find the Medical section.
4. Next to Health Insurance Marketplace (Form 1095-A), click Start or Revisit.
5. Answer Yes when asked if you received a 1095-A.
6. Enter the details exactly as they appear on your form, including information covering both you and your spouse.

TurboTax will only ask for information that affects your return and will handle the Premium Tax Credit calculation for your household.

Then, do I have to add one more data for my spouse? Or just my inputted data is good enough? Please be clear, thank you so very much!

You should select one person, the primary subscriber.

If you are married filing jointly you only have to select one person.

The Premium Tax Credit is calculated for the entire household, regardless of which spouse is selected for the form entry.

@xiyuan76
