Cannot add supporting details

I am using TurboTax Premiere 2025 and I cannot add supporting details by right clicking, double clicking or edit tab. I am in Forms mode and followed all directions. Does someone have a suggestion? Thank you.

Supporting Details works in the interview mode. Click on Step-by-Step.

@What happens when you put the cursor in a box for entering income and you either double click in the box Or you click on Edit and then click on Add Supporting Details?

@imageprods Is your TurboTax software updated to the latest release?

Click on Online at the top of the desktop program screen and then click on Check for Updates

@imageprods Then I cannot understand why you would have a problem.

When using the interview section of the program and there is a box for entering an amount, either double click or Edit and Supporting Details will be displayed.

Try this - Go to Deductions & Credits. Then start the Medical Expenses section. On a screen for entering medical expenses of any type put the cursor in the box. Click on Edit and on Add Supporting Details. Does that work?

@imageprods There are several fields in Forms mode that can't (and shouldn't be) modified. All entry of information in TurboTax desktop needs to be done in Step by Step mode. To add supporting detail, follow the guidance from @DoninGA that he gave.

@cpruitt235 Could you provide more detail about the specific section where you are trying to add supporting details? That will help guide us to better help you in the situation you are facing.
