      <description>&lt;P&gt;Is there a known issue with TurboTax getting stuck on new installations at the Activation Step? My internet is working as you can see by this question. I believe I have firewall and antivirus protection setup OK as turning them both completely off does not help. The dialogue says, "You're not connected to the Internet." "Check to make sure that * Your security setup, such as your firewall and antivirus programs, allow TurboTax to connect to the Internet."&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/1629106"&gt;@khawandjean&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;you're replying to a very old thread about some specific activation issue last year on the Intuis side which was resolved at the time.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;every year there are some users who have issues with installation or activation for whatever reason usually due to issues on their PC that Intuit can't simply "fix". &amp;nbsp;presumably this is on Windows, you can try some of the suggestions in this thread for troubleshooting - in particular note the replies about issues with C++ and steps described here which may resolve that&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/taxes/discussion/issue-activating-turbotax-2025-after-installation-on-windows-11-pro/00/3761383" target="_blank"&gt;https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/taxes/discussion/issue-activating-turbotax-2025-after-installation-on-windows-11-pro/00/3761383&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
