      <description>&lt;P&gt;It’s giving me the child and other dependent tax credit and my daughter SS is valid for employment.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;is this a new rule? Last year I was able to claim the full child tax credit and I still did with my ITIN.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;With the passage of the&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tips/general/taxes-2021-7-upcoming-tax-law-changes/L3xFucBvV" target="_blank"&gt;One Big Beautiful Bill&lt;/A&gt; in July 2025, the 2025-2026 Child Tax Credit adds an eighth qualifying test: work-eligible Social Security Numbers for b&lt;STRONG&gt;oth the child and the person claiming the credit&lt;/STRONG&gt; (only one filer is required to have the number for a joint tax return).&lt;/P&gt;
