Are you correctly leaving the interface open when you go to get the code? When it sends you the code, you must leave that window open that asked for the code. If you close it, the code will always be seen as invalid or expired. So leave the TT screen open, and use one of these methods to go to your email to get the code :

A second browser tab

A second browser window

Another browser

Or check your email with your phone to get the code.

To save time you can have your email account already open and logged into, then you won't have to spend any time logging into it.

Or instead, you may be able to verify your email address inside your Intuit Account, and then maybe you won't be asked for a verification code when efiling. To do that, go to the left column menu and scroll way down to click the tab Intuit Account. When in the account settings, choose the tab "Sign In & Security." See if your email address shown in your account has a little tag by it that says "unverified." If so, click on that little tag and try to verify it there.
