      <description>&lt;P&gt;No. &amp;nbsp; For 2025, charity donations are still going on Schedule A with any other itemized deductions like mortgage interest or property tax, etc. &amp;nbsp; For next year on your 2026 return--that you file in 2027---there will be a deduction of up to $1000 for single filers or up to $2000 on a joint return for charity cash donations that do not go on Schedule A.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

If your standard deduction is higher than your itemized deductions, you will not have any itemized deductions on your tax return.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size:14px;"&gt;Beginning in the 2026 tax year, individuals can deduct up to $1,000 ($2,000 if married filing jointly) for cash contributions to qualified charities, even when taking the standard deduction.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
