I received a 1095-A with entries in Columns A and B, rows August through December. There were no entries in Column C, rows August through December. I presume Column C is blank because, at the time I signed up, my estimated income did not qualify me for the Advanced PTC.

The Form 1095-A in Turbo Tax shows errors for each of the entries in Column A, rows August through December. Why am I getting this error?

I have similar error messages occurring on my TT for Mac return. My Form 1095A has amounts in Column A and B for January through September, the time that my spouse was covered under a plan purchased through an exchange. The data in the TT 1095A is identical to that on the form received from the government exchange. However, TT shows errors and the fix says that Column A should be blank. TT will not let me file electronically unless I make this change. Then the form will not equal the Form 1095A I received in the mail. Please advise.

If your Form 1095-A has entries only for January through September, be sure to leave the other months blank in TurboTax. TurboTax will not accept zeros on the form.

If your Form 1095-A has zeros for Column B, enter instead the second lowest cost Silver plan (SLCSP) premium amounts.

I appreciate the prompt response. However, I have checked the input on the 1095A form in TT. There are no zeros. Only blanks where they should be and my data in Columns A and B from the exchange Form 1095A for January to September. The Column C is also all blanks as I did not receive any APTC in 2025. These reported TT errors saying my Column A should be all blanks are preventing me from filing electronically. I need a fix fast.

Re: 1095-A Error

Try deleting the 1095-A and then re-enter it. See ** below. @dstautz1

Leave all columns A-C on the Oct - Dec lines completely blank; delete any zeros there. You should only have entries in columns A-C on lines Jan - Sept.

**For any month you have an amount in column A, you have to have a positive amount in column B, and any amount (including $0) in column C. If there is no amount (or $0) in column A, leave all columns blank for that line.

So, you should have zeros in Column C for Jan-Sept, but column C should be blank for Oct - Dec since those lines should be completely blank (nothing in column A).

Thank you for the suggestion. I had concluded to delete the form anyway. I filled in Column C with zeros through September as you suggested even though there are blanks on the Column on the 1095A from the exchange. All worked after I did these things and I have now electronically filed.
