E-File Status Pending

I received email and text in regards to my Federal and State Taxes were accepted on January 2023. Turbo Tax program that I purchased still shows both in Pending Status. When will this portion of the program update? I have purchased TurboTax program for many years and have never had this issue

Did you check your e-file status within the program? When you don't check your e-file status through the program it will remain as pending because the program cannot update through the email. See the following to check e-file status for Online and CD/Download.

This is completely normal and not uncommon. Once they accept the return, they no longer provide any updates on your return or refund to TurboTax. The next step would be for them to process your return and approve your refund. TurboTax updates what stage your return is in and the IRS site updates when you can expect your refund:

E-filing status is what stage of the process your return is currently in.
Refund status is when you can expect your refund.

Once your tax return has been submitted, the most up to date information will come from the IRS. It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to update. Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find a record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly. Continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund? tool for updates.

Good Morning. Yes I have checked my status through the Turbo Tax program that I purchased and downloaded onto my computer. It still shows pending for both returns. I also have checked the status of my mother's taxes because I do her taxes also through the program and they show pending even though received email stating they were accepted

Update your program if you have not done so lately then close the program and reopen it and check them again. Also make sure your OS is up to date ... uninstalled OS updates can mess with the TT program.

But even if the TT program doesn't show the filing status correctly if the email says they were accepted then start checking the IRS/state sites ... only their opinion really matters.

Pending means that your e-filed tax return is on its way and the IRS or your state hasn't accepted it yet. Your tax return can be in the pending status for up to 48 hours before being accepted or rejected.
