Form 8915-F was supposed to be updated today.

8915-F was supposed to be updated today, I was allowed to enter in more information, however it is unable to file claiming " Form8915F5-S isn't available".

State - Ready to file
Federal - Information saved.

"Some of your forms aren't ready for review"

In one section, it claims the IRS hasn't finialized the form... well that's not true cause they finialized it in December 2025.

Turbo Tax availability tool is still gray for 2-18-2026, any idea when this will be updated?

Yes, ‌Form 8915 is slated to be available on 02/18/2026.

It should be rolled out soon.

If you are using the desktop version, you must run all software updates.
For online users, you may need to clear your cache and cookies

This is so frustrating. It was supposed to be on 2/11 and now says 2/18. It's 4pm MST with the run round again. How is anyone supposed to get their taxes done without getting penalized? I am beyond upset with this. I have never had these types of issues. Nobody at turbo tax will help and the IRS says it has nothing to do with them because th form was updated in Dec 2025.

The form is there in the desktop version now (it finally updated with the Thursday update) but I get this error now when trying to file "2024 Disaster Distribution Checkbox - You can't file just yet. This may mean a better tax outcome for taxpayers like you who have 2024 Qualified Disaster Distributions. We can keep working on your tax return and we'll let you know when we can help you finish up your taxes.". I really hope it's not end of March.

Cache/cookies cleared. Using the online version. Still showing the form isn't available. If the available and "roll-out" dates do not align, you should provide the "roll-out date" rather than a bogus availability date. I've been using Turbotax for mine and my adult children's taxes for many, many years. Delays like this, that could be avoided with properly managed logistics, are the kinds of issues that send long-term customers looking for another solution to tax filing. I see the flood of posts from one user claiming they were told the end of March. But I would like an accurate timeline from someone at Turbotax. I can guarantee you if the delay is going to be 6 weeks, I will take my business elsewhere or just paper file them myself. I know what I paid to do this. I can't imagine you'd want to lose 10,000 customers at that price. A $2.8M revenue dip over a form you've had access to for two months would likely end with a long list of terminations...

I called TurboTax directly today in frustration. They said there is no official date anymore and will be likely end of March. Not good at all. I have everything else done or I’d switch services myself

Are we going to get an update for the 8915-F form that has been issued by the IRS since middle December 2025?

The lack of response from Turbo Tax is insanity, people are being told Marche while 12 hours ago I was told it would be available today after the update… constant lies with zero information or accountability.

In fact, the IRS extends the filing period for individuals that use 8915-F, and its obvious that Tubro Tax is well aware of that protocol and are certainly taking advantage of it… but you’re going to end up losing business. I’ll start filing with H&R.

The available tool now says it’s ready to e-file, then they send me an email telling me it’s not ready for e-filing… what in the world is going on

What a scam...it's available but still not ready for e-file. Basically useless. Why hurt people who have already been through disasters and need the money!

Got the update today, but there is no option to spread the income over three years. More updates to come??
