Still unable to manually enter 1099-R data without using forms mode.

Since you are using the desktop software, follow these steps:

Open to income
Select 1099-R, start
Did you get, select yes
Select skip this at the bottom when you see a screen full of option
Select skip import at the bottom when you see the brokerages
carefully select which type of 1099-R you have, for most people, the top left financial institution or other provider (the other boxes are civil service, civil service survivor and railroad)
continue
enter the 1099-R

The "Continue" is too far down the page and you never see it unless you scroll down

When you make your selection regarding the source of the 1099-R that about to enter, you are shown 4 choices in 4 boxes containing definitions of the types of sources you need to select from. After selecting the box that applies, you would expect the program to advance to the next page because the "Continue" selection is not visible, and it should be, without scrolling down to find it. My mistake was not expecting I needed to search for the "Continue" selection.
