Why is the Depreciation and Amortization Schedule E for Rental Property still not ready on 2025 Turbo Tax Premier? It is now February 14, 2026 and it is still not ready! This is absolutely unacceptable! Please respond asap.

I've been advised today by management that the work on the depreciation section of TurboTax is continuing and expected to be completed with an update coming the evening of Thursday, February 19th.

Just FYI - I have seen many threads about this topic with people saying they have already filed their taxes on HR Block because HR Block has this section updated. That is not true....I went and purchased HR Block and their software also says that an update to the depreciation section will not be finalized until February 20th. Just thought I would post here so other people don't waste their money on HR Block.

If they owned rental property then they were not able to. The program stops you from filing because the new update for depreciation has not been released. I am guessing they purchased after reading other threads that HR Block was updated and then ran into the same issue I did. Specifically Form 4562 is the one requiring the update so if they didn't need to file that for some reason then they could have filed. If you search on Federal Tax form availability on HR Block's site it will tell you that the Depreciation schedule will now not be available until Feb 27th. I have H&R block for free through the military and you can put the depreciation manually, and also input the depreciation from last year manually. Unfortunately TurboTax doesn't let you input it manually.

My favorite part is TurboTax keeps emailing me to finish my taxes, but I can't without this.

How do I stop those annoying emails, but still leave communication open so I know when they finally get 2025 taxes ready?

I'm ready to leave TurboTax over this. This is ridiculous. Not only are they way behind, apparently other tax prep companies, there is bad to know communication about the delay or a date-certain for resolution.

In a previous post on the thread, TurboTax said the release is now scheduled for this Thursday evening, Feb 19th. I looked into HR Block and their release date for the Depreciation update is Feb 27th.

I am glad I am not the only one going bonkers over this. UNACCEPTABLE! After about 15 years.... I think its time for a change. Everyone else with different software is already finished. Terrible!

I have been entering Depreciation and Amortization information for years. Turbo Tax already has what has been depreciated and makes it much easier to update the current year. To start from scratch, and manually!, would be torturous.

Excuse me? Why would I lie about that? I just downloaded the update and finished my taxes. I am using the desktop version - perhaps you are using the online version and that has not yet updated.
