    <description>&lt;P&gt;I submitted both Federal and State tax electronically, which later on got rejected for some reason. I wanted to fix the issue and resubmit but came to know that the file is not there. I made sure to hit save button before closing. At this point I do not know how to retrieve and fix the errors. I paid $25 to submit state efile and not sure what would happen to it, if I chose to resubmit returns via mail this time.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I paid $25 to submit state efile and not sure what would happen to it, if I chose to resubmit returns via mail this time.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;HR /&gt;&lt;/BLOCKQUOTE&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Which desktop software version are you using--the Windows version or the Mac version?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Search your entire computer system for any file ending in&lt;STRONG&gt; *.tax2025&lt;/STRONG&gt; which is the tax data file.&amp;nbsp; Also look in the Recycle Bin.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Also search any external device to which you may have backed it up, or any cloud storage you use such as OneDrive.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The default folder for tax data files is the Documents\TurboTax folder, but it might have been saved somewhere else.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If using Windows, and if you have more than one Windows user accounts, log into each one to do the searches.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Whenever a Federal return is rejected, the state return is automatically rejected.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Since your initial attempt at efiling was rejected, your returns are considered &lt;STRONG&gt;not&lt;/STRONG&gt; to have been filed.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
