I'm stalled at the very beginning of completing my return. On the "Hi! We're here to help you file with ease" page when I hit continue I get a popup that tells me I'm leaving the site. Then it does. I spent hours with Inuit and they finally told me it's a known issue and they'd have it fixed in a day or two. That was a week ago. There is no "tax home" in the left column Just the name of the product. There is no tool menu so I can't just start over. I may have to stop using TT after 15+ years.

Sounds like something got stuck. You can try these things:

Log Out Completely: Before doing anything else, click Sign Out in the TurboTax menu.
Clear Cache and Cookies: This removes old, "corrupted" data that might be confusing the website.
Use an Incognito (Private) Window: This is the most effective "quick fix" because it launches the browser without any saved history or extensions (like AdBlockers) that often interfere with tax forms.
Check Pop-up Blockers: TurboTax often opens forms (like the 1099 PDF) or payment windows in a separate pop-up. Look at the right side of your address bar for a small icon with a "red X"—click it and select "Always allow pop-ups from Intuit."
Restart the Browser: Close all open windows of your browser entirely and then reopen it.

Most TurboTax errors happen because the browser is trying to use an old "session" from a previous visit. By clearing the cache or using Incognito mode, you force the browser to establish a brand-new, secure connection with the Intuit servers.

I tried everything you suggested. I'm still getting the same popup (stay or leave)on the same page when I hit continue.

Are you on the Desktop version of TurboTax.

Desktop doesn't have any of the things you're looking for.

If you're in the Online version.

Is your screen minimized. The left sidebar won't show in this case.
Do you have a menu in the middle of your screen?
Click on Personal Info > [Revisit/Edit]
This should bring up the full menu on the left side.

Thank you so much for your reply. I use the desktop version to and this is the first time I finally understood that the desktop version does not have a Tax Home or Tool menu. I spend so much time trying to fix an issue and couldn't find the Tax Home. The thread on how to resolve desktop issues is very helpful. But my instructions from Turbo Tax desktop to fix the problem was to go to my Turbo Tax account and go back to my state of MO. This never worked so the advice was confusing.
