where do i include computer purchase for college?

there is not a section pulling up like there is for books.

In the section for "Expenses and Scholarships (Form 1098-T)" there is a screen titled

"Did you have any of these common situations in 2025?'"

Select "Had education expenses other than tuition"

Continue to the "Time to enter education expenses" screen

Enter the cost of the computer in the "Optional books and materials from the school" field.

The wording can seem a bit confusing, but this is where that type of expense gets reported.
