Why won't TurboTax 2025 transfer the information from my return in TurboTax 2024? I highlight the file but when I click "Continue" it just beeps. This is very frustrating. I've used TurboTax for 20 years and I've NEVER had this problem before. Very frustrated. Maybe its time to switch tax prep software.

many hitting this - rather than starting a new return and Begin and then doing the transfer etc, instead do Open Tax Return and open the .tax2024 file directly, Turbo will detect the file is from prior year and kick off the transfer into a new return. the workaround is actually easier than the normal way.
