    <description>&lt;P&gt;I was on the us on F1 visa since 2019. For tax year 2019-2023 I filed taxes as a non-resident alien, and for tax year 2024 I filed as a resident alien because of SPT.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I left the US on February 1st, 2025,&amp;nbsp;and now I got a W-2 reflecting my work during January, but I'm not sure if&amp;nbsp; I should file taxes as resident, non-resident, or dual-status for tax year 2025.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Could you please advice on this?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks&amp;nbsp;for your answer&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/67938"&gt;@xmasbaby0&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is this reasoning correct? :&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Exempt from 2019 to 2023 (do not count towards SPT).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2025: 31 days (Jan 1st to Jan 31st)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2024: 365/3=121.7&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Total = 152.7 (less than 183 required for SPT, therefore non-resident).&lt;/P&gt;</description>
