MFS vs MFJ--import prior year?

I have a client that needs to file separate from his spouse this year. Last year they filed jointly. Do I import last year or do I just start a new return?

Start a new return with a new email, new account and new user ID. There is too much embedded spouse information in the account that was used for a joint return in the previous year.

But----what do you mean by "client"? It is a violation of the terms of service for a paid tax preparer to use TurboTax.

It’s my child and her spouse. Misspoke calling them client. I don’t do public tax returns. Thanks for the answer on MFS.
