Or what did you get from the Business returns to enter into your 1040 personal return? You need to manually enter any W2 or K-1 you got.

I filed 2025 taxes for both my businesses and were approved by the IRS. Now that I want to upload my tax info to the Turbotax federal... it does not let me upload my 2025 files. Only my 2024 turbotax files, which, of course, is not what I am filing for 2025. Does this mean that the IRS is not ready to receive my personal 1040's yet and therefore, turbotax does not let me upload them?

What kind of business returns did you file? Did you use the Windows Desktop Business program? You can’t import a business return into a personal return. You can only Transfer a 2024 personal return into 2025.

Or did you file your business on Schedule C? That is part of your personal return. So if you did that then your personal was filed too. If you didn’t include all the rest of your personal info and income then you will have to wait and amend your return later to add the missing info.

The tax data file from the TurboTax Business Edition cannot be opened by the TurboTax desktop editions for a personal tax return, ie Deluxe, Premier, Home & Business.
