Looking input a foreign pension in the desktop version, creating a 1099-R but Turbo 2025 desktop, whilst recognizing a foreign address, keeps requiring a ITIN which the foreign entity does not have. Tried 55-5555555, 11-1111111 and 99-9999999. How do I get around this ?

The best way is to report as "Other Reportable Income", because you will not be able to efile without a valid EIN.

To enter in TurboTax:

Go to Wages & Income.

Scroll to the very bottom to Less Common Income.

Select Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C -> Start.

Select Other Reportable Income -> Start.

Answer Yes to "Any Other Taxable Income?"

Click on the blue "Add" box to enter the description & amount. "

Note: In some states (like NY or PA), reporting it as "Other Income" may prevent TurboTax from applying state-level pension exclusions.
