Turbotax states that form 4562 Depreciation and Amortization are available according to the website, but in the desktop app it still say's not available. When will it be available?

Although the forms availability table indicates that Form 4562 is ready to e-file, the final update for depreciation calculations has not been released.

We recommend that you wait a few days for additional TurboTax Online updates to be released, which should resolve the experience you're having with Depreciation.

Do you have an ETA on when it will be available. Just updated my application today and it still says "Depreciation and Amortization will be available by February, but likely sooner" and February is only 2 days away.

No, there is no definite date for the release of the depreciation updates. Even though Form 4562 has been coded and released to the software, the calculations have not been finalized.

We recommend that you move to another section of your return and/or wait a few days before checking to see if the update is final. Note that most updates are scheduled to be released after midnight, usually on Thursday or Friday, but can be done at any time.

As stated previously, we don't know the exact date when the depreciation calculations will be updated in the software. We recommend that you wait a few days before checking on that section of your return. Be sure to accept updates when you open TurboTax Desktop. TurboTax Online is updated when you open your return.

Can someone contact your deployment Team regarding 4562? I’ve been with turbo 10+ years and there’s just a lack of visibility.

I agree, I really do like TurboTax but someone has to know a date for deployment... Just want some transparency as this is affecting a lot of us.

As someone else asked, can you check with your deployment team and confirm a launch date? There seems to be a lack of internal communication. Informing customers that they need to keep checking isn't the best customer service.

They gave up on assisting the community with visibility. They could raise it up with management but they won’t. They provide vague playbook safe responses. The goodwill of 10+ years is depleted. I have parallel filing on competitors and will pull the trigger and exit TT if this isn’t resolved by Wednesday. Can someone get some answers? Or at least pull down that advisement that the form will be ready my February nonsense.

I am extremely unhappy that form 4562 Depreciation & Amortization is STILL not available in TurboTax, and we've not been given a date for when it will be available. This is causing me financial pain because I am not yet able to file my 2025 taxes. Since some users are commenting here, and elsewhere, that they are now filing their 2025 taxes using a different software provider, I'm wondering if those users would be willing to provide those software provider names, so I can consider doing the same. I shouldn't be held up from filing because TurboTax is unable to provide this form. To log onto TurboTax, only to see a message that says the form will be available in early February, but probably sooner, when the calendar is already in February, leaves me with no confidence in the Turbo Tax software provider.

Again, please comment here with some alternative software suggestions, that can already handle form 4562. Thanks

I also am interested in using a different software now. Just spoke with 3 different reps and they’re all uninformed and don’t know anything. Garbage service with a higher price than competitors

Free tax USA is very cheap basic business but so easy to use. Customer service responds in minutes. It handles 4562. It doesn’t handle FTC and FEIE. TurboTax is smug and could care less about the small guy or if you leave.

I agree. I'm losing my patients with Turbo Tax. It's certainly not the cheapest option out there.

Thaks for the update. But a key word I see in that update is the word "may" ... "wait for the software update, which may occur around Feb 13-14, 2026." Personally, I'm hopeful, but not feeling very confident.
