topic If my state allows alimony deductions for a divorce in 2025, do I enter it in the federal section so it will transfer or only in state section? in Get your taxes done using TurboTax

I know my alimony payments for a 2025 divorce are not allowed for my federal return. However, my state (CA) does allow alimony deductions. Do I enter the alimony deductions only when working on my CA return, or do I enter it when working on my federal return (thinking TurboTax will disallow it for federal but transfer to my state return)?
