You cannot e-file your state until the IRS accepts your federal return. The IRS will begin to accept/reject returns on January 26. Wait until you get an email that says the IRS accepted your federal return and then re-try e-filing the state.

The state tax return cannot be e-filed until the federal tax return has been Accepted by the IRS.

The IRS will start Accepting 2025 federal tax returns on 01/26/2026
