I had 2024 desktop version on another computer. I downloaded the 2025 onto a different computer-how do I get 2024 data transferred into the new computer?

You need the *.tax2024 data file from last year. Hopefully, you still have it. With a thumb drive, you can transfer the *.tax2024 file to the new computer. It's best to place it in the Documents\TurboTax folder, which is the default location for data files.

Then when you start a new return in 2025 TurboTax, it should look first in the Documents\TurboTax folder, then if it doesn't find the 2024 data file, it will search your computer. If it doesn't find it, you can use the Browse button to point it to the location of the data file.
