Yes, TurboTax automatically calculates your Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI) as you fill out your tax return. It uses the information you enter to perform the correct calculations and determine your eligibility for various tax benefits. If you have not filed the tax return yet, you can find MAGI when you go thru ROTH IRA contribution section. Make sure to do it after you have reported all the income.

Follow these steps to enter ROTH contribution as if you contributed.

1. Go to Tax Home and then click on "Deductions and credits"

2. Scroll down to the "the "Retirement and Investments" section

3. Next to "Traditional and Roth IRA Contributions", click Start or Revisit.

4. Check ROTH box and follow the interview screen.

At the end, TurboTax will give you a message if your MAGI is too high with MAGI income.

Remember to uncheck ROTH contribution box if you are not planning to contribute or doing it for MAGI.

If you have already filed a return, you can go to Tax Tools" and then "Print Center" to download this year's return. Make sure to select "Tax return, government worksheets and TurboTax worksheets" option (Last one). Then download the file and scroll down to ROTH contribution worksheet to look for MAGI.

Sometime you might not see Tax Tools if you already filed the return. In that case, click on "Amend the return" under "Your Tax Return and Docs" section and that will populate Tax Tools.
