    <description>When opening TT2024 today I was surprisingly presented with an activation screen requesting the activation code.  When attempting to enter, received error code 603, “5 activations have already been registered”.  I have not exceeded the allotted 5 installs.
Appreciate any guidance to resolve the issue.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;i had a similar issue (with me nothing below worked and I did not try system restore or restore from image) what worked was that I back up files and folders. I had a backup of the below folder which included the two .json files. I copied them to the designated folder and then relaunched Turbotax. It worked.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;if these don't work try the following&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;1. Search C:\Users\( your user id)\AppData\roaming\intuit\turbotax\&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;2. Click into the TY2X folder &lt;BR /&gt;3. Delete the two .json files and try launching TurboTax again&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;note appdata is a hidden folder so you will have to go into a folder and on the view tab in the show\hide section check "hidden folders"&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;try support to see what it will do for you.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;as a last resort other things that might work (i have never tried system restore) but it does have some risk) system restore&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;2) restore from a disk image. This puts the drive back to what was on it when the image was created.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
