I've been filing as married filing jointly every year. This year TurboTax defaults to "head of household" and I can't change the status. How do I fix this?

I've tried starting a new return, and there is no option to NOT import from last year. When it imports from last year, the information looks correct, but then when I continue it defaults back to head of household instead of married filing jointly.

If you are using the TurboTax online editions you can change your filing status in the My Info section of the program.

Click on My Info on the left side of the online program screen. Edit your personal information. If showing Complete for your name, click on your name and click on Revisit

If you are using the TurboTax desktop editions you can change your filing status in the Personal Info section of the program. On Your Filing Status, click on Update
