2024 TurboTax disappeared from desktop after updating and unable to find it. when i try to reinstall it i get a message that it is still in use. I can not find it the remove it so i can install with my code

did you reboot?

me bad there are simpler ways windows OS

1) look in the start menu to see if listed. if so, you can drag and drop to desktop

2)go to program files\turbotax\turbotax version 2024\64-bit\ turbotax.exe highlight with mouse and click create shortcut. click yes to place on desktop

3) go to the control panel in start menu click on it > you should then see a list of installed programs which should include Turbotax 2024 which you can uninstall and reinstall using up another of the 5 allowed installations.

also check your desktop. sometime with an update the desktop icon is moved

3) should be the last resort if you try 1 and 2 but the app doesn't work.
