I have a small LLC business that paid $1.6k to a contractor. I tried to file 1099-NEC through Quick Employer Forms and just noticed all forms are under 2024, but the compensation was for 2025. How do I navigate to 2025, and is there any way to correct the 1099-NEC that was already submitted?

2025 won’t open until January 2026 after the year 2025 ends on 12/31/25. You have to wait. Your contractor doesn’t need the 1099NEC until he files his 2025 tax return next April. If you filed it as a 2024 1099 you need to correct it to zero.

How to correct a 1099 and W2 prepared in QEF see the FAQ (scroll down)

Quick Employer Forms

QEF does not support corrected forms at this time. Once the original e-filing is accepted:

To file a corrected W-2, go to the SSA website and file the corrected form, W-2C electronically. You can also use the IRS website for forms and instructions.

To file a corrected 1099, use the IRS website forms and instructions for corrections.
