Family purchased TurboTax Standard 2024. I believe this allows for 6 tax returns. When I install on my PC I get a notice that I need to create an account to log. Ok, did that. However, when I use the license I get an error that it is associated with another account "This license code is already linked to another account. Error code: 608".

So how can I install this on a separate computer?
What's the purpose of the license if we aren't allowed to file up to 6 returns in a convenient manner? It's not ideal for me to have to install & login with a family member's credentials. Is there a way to make this work?

Do you have a license code or an activation code? A License Code, is for Desktop software which will allow for 5 efiles.

If you have an Activation Code, this is for Online software which only allows for one file.

It is a license code. And fewer than 5 returns have been filed.

Are you in Canada? Standard is a Canada version. This is the USA forum. Here is the Canada forum
