      <description>&lt;P&gt;You and your spouse can choose to split the interest and taxes paid however you wish. Or one of the spouses can take all of the deduction.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you're in a community property state, generally it would be split evenly.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
