Submitting second amended tax return for same year for free

I submitted a tax return for 2024 using the free edition. Then, I amended it to add a school form again, using the free edition. Now I realized I missed another school form for 2024, so I have to amend the amendment now that I've gotten the first amendment processed and completed. However, I open turbotax, and BEFORE filling out a second amended return, it says im on turbotax deluxe. I go through with the process of the amendment and at the end theres a $143 charge to use the deluxe product. 1, why was my account switched to that product if I had only ever used the free version? 2, Why is there no option to downgrade?(yes ive tried all the ways you normally could but i cant). 3, why even after I stay on a call for 1 hour and 4 minutes is there no one who can help me or simply offer me a service code or something to waive the cost of deluxe, because I NEVER chose to use it. I dont want to pay to file the same return I filed for free twice, and theres no rule I can find that says "first amendments free but the second isn't!" So someone help me fix this.

The school form likely added an Education Credit that requires a higher version on TurboTax.

so then how was i able to do it for free the first time i amended ?
