How do I skip the update? I have finished the federal tax form and have reviewed it all and just want to file how do I skip the update ?

You can skip updates by changing the Updater Preferences in your software to keep the software from updating automatically. You can launch your TurboTax software and click the Online tab at the top of your screen. You can select either "Ask me before getting Updates" or "I do not have an internet connection. I want to get updates on my own".

You could also try to bypass updating by you turning off your internet before opening the program.

There is no ‘online’ tag on the top of my screen. By the way, your search engine was worthless for me. I have looked on every tab and drop down and have not found anything close to ‘online’.

See this help article regarding updates for Mac. You can change the settings between Check for Updates and Download Latest Updates from the TurboTax top line drop-down menu.

The Online button/tab is in Windows versions.
