If the purchase date is various (which is allowed) TurboTax needs you to identify if these are long term or short term gains/losses, since it can't determine using the dates. Return to the section and edit those lines to provide the additional information.

1099B Various

Some of my 1099B transactions have Various as their purchase dates. Turbotax Desktop flags those entries as needing review. Upon review the information is as imported from Edward Jones. Since the securities were purchased at various times I do not have specific purchase dates. Turbotax appears not to be satisfied with that information and has prevented me from filing my tax return electronically. How do I proceed? I have tried entering the information manually with the same result. Thank you.
