Does anyone know what an amount labeled as L-580 in box 14 represents? Never have seen the code used before and whether it's a taxable amount or not in New York or New Jersey?

You should contact your employer's Payroll Department to find out what L-580is in box 14. Employers use box 14 to enter a variety of information and those entries don't affect your income tax return. TurboTax provides you with a dropdown menu of codes you can choose for your W-2 box 14 entry. If what’s in box 14 doesn't match a dropdown code, select Other for the code in box 14.
