    <description>&lt;P&gt;If you paid the sales tax in 2025 it goes on your 2025 tax return. &amp;nbsp;Sales tax is an itemized deduction that goes on Schedule A. &amp;nbsp;If you do not have enough other itemized deductions like mortgage interest and medical expenses &amp;nbsp;and/or charity donations to go on Schedule A and exceed your standard deduction, sales tax will have no effect on your tax due or refund.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
