&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size:14px;"&gt;You don't have to contribute to separate plans. However, if &lt;STRONG&gt;you and your spouse each have HSA-qualified health coverage, and you both plan on contributing to your HSAs, you are required to have separate accounts&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color:rgb(71,71,71);font-size:14px;"&gt;.
